Replaced powered rear hatch strut on 2012 Cayenne Turbo, will not open all the way
Hi,
I replaced the passenger side powered strut, adjusted the opening height by holding the close hatch button on the hatch until it beeps and the hatch only opens half way after multiple attempts to set the correct height. The hatch also only closes half way and needs a second button push to fully close. Any thoughts on what I may need to do to correct the challenge? The replacement of the strut was very easy to replace and took all of 10 minutes. New powered strut cost me about $350.00. Thank you. |

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated? No change after multiple programming resets.

My guess is there is something giving the system an obstruction signal. Perhaps give it an extra push (hand) on the opening or closing, see if it then continues, or maybe you'll feel a hiccup in the system.
