Air bag warning light

2008 Cayenne S VIN WP1AB29P38LA52404 99,542 miles. The air bag warning light first came on in March 2015. (Dash ICON) The faults were simply cleared and it came on again about a year later and the AWS module was replaced. The light came on again a month later and the pins in the connector were replaced. The light appeared again in August 2017. The fault was cleared and came on again in July, 2018. Retrieved code 0589 several times and replaced the air bag. Light is now on again and the independent repair shop is pretty sure its in the air bag connector, however, the connector seems to be unavailable. Does this appear to be the root cause or is there
another path to pursue and what part do I have to get?
