Cayenne S timing chain replacement
Would anyone recommend anything else to be done to a Cayenne S engine while dealer has it out for a timing chain replacement?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Since you're essentially removing the front of the engine, any maintenance items that may need to be replaced can be done then - water pump, thermostat, tensioners, etc..
Let us know if you have any other questions. |

I understand what could be done but was wondering what is recommended. If the engine has 186000kms on it then it might be wise to change some items that are known to cause problems. Would you recommend anything be changed in the interests of good maintenance? I understand that if it ain’t broke mentality but some other owners may have experience they would like to add.

Hmmm - maybe I am not being clear. Are there any other components that would be worth changing on an engine that has done 180K kms? I know that there will be wear and tear on almost everything but other owners might suggest replacing the alternator or the water pump etc etc I dont want to replace everything but only what is recommended at that kilometreage
