2008 cayenne lowering springs
Hello all,
Has anyone had any experience with H&R lowering springs on a base 3.6 cayenne? I'm rebuilding my suspension and would like it a touch lower but I also want a slightly softer ride. The stock coil only suspension is too stiff. Porsche lists a set of springs for load class 1 in PET. Going by the color codes on the springs, I have load class 2 and 3 on the car now. Was wondering, due to price and availability, if H&R are any good. I just need input. I don't want to do it twice. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Did you ever swap out the springs? I’m interested in finding some for my 2016 958, but wanted to hear experiences and opinions from folks that have done this swap.

hiya i have a 2009 base and i replaced the shocks/spring combo with HR. I found they are a good alternatives to the stock shocks/spring for replacement with the added ability to lower your ride and adjust the suspension. I also run 22s and I mention this because the vehicle on 22s make is a stiffer ride to begin with. So based on other ppl's review on the setting, as you can adjust the setting on the HR coilovers, i went with a rather firm suspension like 7 (I think) on initial setting for the initial install. I say initial because you have to remove the coilovers to adjust the setting if you don't like what you set it to. The setting is personal preference. On our crappy roads or for that matte on any crappy roads.. 7 really made the car bounce around. Sure it was great to go into curves and off ramps and higher speeds and they truck held nicely, but that bouncing around gets tiresome after a month. So I geared up for the task to remove them to reset the harshness and tuned it to the softess setting of 1. It still tracks nicely and still get some bouncing but not as stiff as 7. I can't imagine what 10 would feel like. I also have set it at the lowest height as well. I will say at the lowest height ad 7 you will bottom out the coilover and springs on hard bumps and potholes.... the paint has chipped off the springs because of that. I didn't like the bottoming out... makes a bad chunking noise. ... I hope this helps... good luck.
