Battery maintainer

Does everyone use the CTEK for their Macan or is there another choice?

2nd that. ^

You can use other chargers, but the nice thing is that the CTEK is a smart battery minder.

I would think that the Macan would get driven enough to not need a storage charger.

6 mos. drained my Mini, so I figured with all the tech. operating in the back ground when the Macan is off, is probably going to be a dead battery.

As far as battery tenders/maintainers/trickle chargers go CTek Electrical and "Battery Tender" are the top names.

Both are very simple to use and offer quick disconnect wires that attach to the positive and negative terminals.

What I like about the CTEK is the fact that you can put the little cable on every car, motorcycle or lawnmower you own and then are able to hook it up in seconds and never risk making the wrong connections. Even your kids and wife can do it flawlessly once installed. One or two boxes can do many cars. I also use the extensions so that it is pretty flexible where I put them, but rarely use the other attachments. Another interesting accessory that you can plug into the short cord that goes to the car is a a cigarette lighter connection (female) so that you can power accessories with a lighter type plug (male) from the car battery to work on or use outside the car.

I have 4 ctek MXS 5.0 all hooked up and used frequently. Highly recommend, what I especially like is the option to select an AGM battery charging program. Also the recondition program that they recommend you do once per year.
