cayenne responses
A friend of mine has a cayenne and has got some interesting responses on the street from it. One guy in a toyota pickup Looked over at him and and gave him a thumbs down. Another time He went to pick up somebody in front of a bar and the group of people at the bar boo'ed him! My friend can be nuisance with some slightly heavy footed driving, but I'm just curious if anybody else has had similar responses?

that's interesting. I wonder why he got these types of responses. did those people suddenly become Porsche experts? it would definitely be enlightening to find out why these people had these reactions. and from a guy in a Toyota p/u?? c'mon!

Whenever I see or hear one of those beauties prowl the streets...one phrase always comes to mind..."Ooops...guess i need a new pair of underwear now..."

Our Cayenne gets more positive responses than my 996 TT. Almost evertime you go to a gas station or in a parking lot, someone is asking about it and talking about how nice it is.

Same positive responses here. It's almost gotten to the point of being annoying! Nearly everytime I stop, somebody comes up and wants to talk. I was even in the car-jaded affluent suburbs of Detroit last weekend and the response was the same. This is an area where it's commonplace to see prototype and/or disguised vehicles running the roads. At one traffic light, a new right-hand drive Aston Martin with manufacturers plates sat next to me but the attention was all on the Cayenne!!

negative press be damned. I still think the cayenne is a great design and a lot of your responses seem to say the same. now we'll just have to see how well the car holds up over time. anyone have any experience with the turbo?
