Now thinking about a Cayenne....how are the $$?

Anyone care to comment on the market? Soft? High or low value? Is the Bluebook accurate?

Any info appreciated. Even on the various models (not in the market for a Turbo S). Do I dare buy a V6?

cayenne

I have no problems with V6.... it all depends what you want & what you can afford ! I did not have the money for S , let alone Turbo.... so I bought the V6. It suits me , and my wife just fine. It is not the fastest SUV , and consumes a lot of fuel.... BUT it is good to drive , has plenty of room for our family ,my sons sporting stuff & bike is easily transported in it , it is safe , and is one hell of a vehicle in the snow !!!

Go and drive it. Feel the difference between V6 & S & Turbo.... and then deside. I am sure there are good deals around now....

I have driven an S and a Turbo when they first came out. The S had more than enough power. We know folks that have an S and another with the V6. The V6 folks say it has plenty of power for daily driving, which I can easily believe.

I would be concerned with the gas mileage (I'm one to talk, I have a Land Rover). Of even more concern to me, is PAG in relation to their (US) customers. I was considering getting an S for towing and have it be the wife's daily driver. After reading over on the Cayenne Rennlist I decided against it. I suggest you read thru over there. It's pretty active.

Question

Hey Milt -

I'm reconsidering a Cayenne. Not for towing, got a 2007 F250 Powerstroke for that. Actually a V6, mainly for the wife as a daily driver. I've still got PAG and local dealer concerns however.

Probably won't do anything until 2008 models are out. My understanding is there will not be a '07 model line. Extended '06, then an early '08. V6 will have more horsepower.

I was just wondering what decision if any you came to (or your thoughts about it)?
