Wiring center Arm-rest cubby for USB

Well, those cigarette lighter/power-ports are in the wrong places, IMO.

So, getting the bluetooth and phone charger tucked away like so...

I wired to the rear cig/pwr ports, so this means the back side needs to be disassembled.

The vent, the tray and the drink-holder pull out ... the cig/pwr have screws.

The wires need to go down the side and forward, then back >this is tight for the head of the USB plug. I used a piece of wire, taped to the USB plug to help make it happen.

The gray wire is the USB

And note the hinges have provisions for wires.

Well, I'm off to go buy some Black electrical tape.

Very nice, I didn't even realize there were 12V outlets for the rear seat passengers (shows how much I sit back there).

Very nice write up.

Other than charging I decided to just get a Motorola T305 from Costco; fifty bucks and I have bluetooth voice. Doesn't giv me handsfree dialing with an iPhone, but I have heard other devices have that feature.

Works great and no wiring nightmares...

the bottom cover comes off w/ 4 tiny torx screws (green) and then 4 spring clips (yellowish) - just pull...
