Battery Replacement
Ok guys. Stupid question time.....
I am replacing my battery in my 04S and have removed all of the items in the front of my seat, including the 12point bolt. When I try to tilt my seat back it doesn't want to go back far enough to get the battery out. I it is like something is holding it from going all the way back like I would assume. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I need to remove from the back of the seat? I looked at the manual and didn't see anything. When I tilt it back it looks like it is pushing down on the floor board and not swinging on a hinge from behind. Thoughts? Thanks Thom |

Nevermind....
You have to pull the plastic out from the two black seat rails. If not they will be crushed..... Then the seat fold back and the battery is huge.... Thanks Thom |

Got the new battery directly from interstate battery. It is about 1-2" shorter than the other battery I took out. Looked at all of the local shops and they have the same size batteries. Strange....
Got everything back together except for the right (side on the closest to the passenger) side plastic. Every time I move the seat forward the front piece goes with it. I will have to get a flash light out when I get home to see what is going on. Other than that all is well. |
