Do I wave at Cayannes?
A recent thread got me thinking....
Does one wave at a soccer mom in a Cayanne? Don't get me wrong, I wave at all P cars I see, even the water-pumpers, but would you consider me rude if I chose not to acknowledge Porsche's flying brick? |

John, just been watching "Russell Coight's all Aussie Adventures". I think this is the new 4WD for the likes of him. Anyone not sure of what I am talking about, see this link: He's the new Steve Irwin.

Now that's putting the cart before the horse. How would you even identify one amongst the herd of look-a-like SUV's???!!! ;) -- Curt |
It's highly doubtful your enthuisiam would be understood, much less appreciated. Cayenne is there to appeal to the "for the moment crowd" We should save the effort for those who understand the origins of the marque.

Hmm...Let me think about this....
O.k, I'm done. No. :D |
umm ya. why would you want to wave at a soccer mom leming who has no clue what she's driving. She'd probably thought you were a terrorist or something
just my 2 cents |
:-I Oh yes, I think you should choose to acknowledge Porsche's flying brick . . ..
. . .pointing and laughing would be appropriate. :D |
only wave if she is a hot soccer mom

How are they going to understand the origins of the marque if you shut them out??? Don't forget that this isn't the first time that Porsche has built a SUV type before, Dr. Porsche was a 4wd pioneer, 1942-1944 Schwimmwagens were designed by Porsche, they built jeeps in the 50s, and the is a Porsche built tractor in the Brumos Museum, and it has been on display in the dealership. I had a friend who did the German delivery back in the 70s, and out on the testing grounds were Porsche built tanks, now that is the ultimate SUV!!! Anyone remember the Porsche modified trucks that were the support rigs while the 959s were racing the rallies?? Porsche/VW connection goes right to the roots of Porsche, and has continued to build joint projects since Dr. Porsche built the first VW, and one of the least known, a VW Syncro crewcap that Porsche Motorsports built with a Carrera engine and Carrera brakes and Fuchs. I ask again, "How are they going to understand the origins of the marque if you shut them out??? " With any luck, there will always be "new" Porsche owners who don't understand the origins of the marque, but that is why we need to welcome these "new" owners!!!! So if you leave out the fact that Porsche has been building SUVs from the start, you are leaving out some of the origins of the marque!!! |
Maybe in response to the R Gruppe, the Pepper Wagon folks will start their own M.I.L.F. Gruppe. They'd be worth a wavehttp://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/happy.gif .

Waving is not in my game I always wave back but never wave first. It could mean to many things and you never know who your dealing with. Not all pcar owners are enthusiasts. As far as Cayenne owners, who cares what people choose to buy! Being a 911 owner makes none of us any better than anyone else. I wont buy one but my neighbor may. I see AZTECS all over the place! There's an ass for every seat.

The AZTEC has to be the ugliest SUV out there!
