Cayenne Coolant Pipe Replacement
Has any one on this forum change their coolant pipes? I can't find a tech article or thread about the subject. Any info would be appreciated or point me to the thread.

Thanks jrumiano. Those are great instructions!

If yours is a turbo, get the two coolant T's and change em while you are in there. Here is some info: Coolant T Crapola - Rennlist Discussion Forums

Thanks mtnrat. I'll do that. This is preventative stuff I'm doing.

Its really not that bad a job " worst part is when you get the old tubes out most likely the old
Rings from the tube are going to stay in there, it's a real task to slowly chisel them out Be prepared to literally sit on the engine while you bend over to see them. And when I say you have a hair folical of space to get the new pipes in I'm not kidding. It's a good one solid day job when you have all the parts and do some cleaning. |
If the engine happens to be out...much easier.
Have your tech remove the crossover coolant manifold and pull the aluminum coolant tube out. Then clean and prep the mating surfaces for a quick TIG welding session. This will be the last place the coolant system will fail ! Marty http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1403675346.jpg |
