2005 Cayenne Turbo engine failure
Trying to help my old man with a engine failure. Lost compression on one cylinder, oil by the ring ect. I did some homework any looks like scoring of the cylinder walls was a know problem and there were a number of failures in the earlier V8 blocks.
Dealer wants near 30K for a replacement short block and install. You can buy another used Turbo for that $$. Are there any independent Cayenne engine specialist? If anyone cares to share their experiences or knowledge that would be great. Regards- JS |
