955 4.5 engine replacement with turbo model block
 

Does anyone know if the 955 turbo engine will fit in the non-turbo car.
I am planning to replace the engine soon if the turbo fits, I could strip the turbo parts off and setup as non turbo. Then not worry about cold start issues with the cylinder walls.

Will it bolt in? Yes. Will everything else work? Pretty much, but the biggest thing is a drop in compression from 11.5-1 (S) to 9.5-1 (Turbo). Search Jake Raby in the forum for more info on the cylinder scoring issues or on Rennlist.

I was considering doing the same for a twin turbo, does the transmission also need to be from the turbo (donor)? And does it need the turbo ecu and harness?
