955 4.5 engine replacement with turbo model block
Does anyone know if the 955 turbo engine will fit in the non-turbo car.
I am planning to replace the engine soon if the turbo fits, I could strip the turbo parts off and setup as non turbo. Then not worry about cold start issues with the cylinder walls. Thanks, |

Will it bolt in? Yes. Will everything else work? Pretty much, but the biggest thing is a drop in compression from 11.5-1 (S) to 9.5-1 (Turbo). Search Jake Raby in the forum for more info on the cylinder scoring issues or on Rennlist.

I was considering doing the same for a twin turbo, does the transmission also need to be from the turbo (donor)? And does it need the turbo ecu and harness?
