2006 Cayenne S
Managed to spill a bottle of liquid laundry detergent in rear 1/4 of trunk. Now getting tail latch dash warning. Is the sensor in top of the hatch or in the body of the trunk. Any DYI posting for replacement?

Had a similar issue. However it was my daughter's Lego stuck inside the latch plate at the rear deck. The plate is spring hinged. Found a bunch of other misc crap in there. Cleaned it all out. Warning went away. Guessing the sensor is right there at/near the latch plate. Hope this helps. - Matt |
