Porsche Showroom Posters

Hello everyone! I have inherited a whole slew of Porsche showroom posters and banners from the 1960s. First thought was eBay, but I would prefer to deal with those who are true collectors and would appreciate or may be in search of the items I have. Most are in excellent condition, some have minor edge damage. Any advice, or re-direction would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Porsche posters

Can you please advise how many posters you have ? Do you want to sell them individually or as one lot ? I am a real buyer.
Thanks

Russ, I'm interested in the 1965 Le Mans poster. Are these original factory issued posters? Who did you inherit them from? PM me your phone number if you want to chat. Thanks, Tim

sure you would
first off you'll want to read this paying particular attention to the part about including prices with your offerings;

https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/149727-read-me-before-you-post-guidelines-posting-forum-updated-9-28-2017-a.html

second it would help your sale by posting pictures of your items with a newspaper or some other document indicating a date.

Thanks for the replies. I am skeptical too these days. Everyone needs to take precautions against scams. If anyone wants to do business with me I'll jump through any hoops necessary to earn your trust. I'm not a scammer, just trying to get these posters to good homes. I acquired them when my step-father passed away and I was left with a couple storage units full of his "collectables". Most of it was junk, but many of these posters are in great shape and look quite rare. Many of them I can't find any info about. There are far too many posters for me to count, so I am painstakingly and carefully rolling them out, photographing then and documenting their condition. I wish there were an easier way but unless I found someone here in Oregon who wanted to come see them I guess I'll keep going this way. The biggest obstacle is knowing their value. That's what brought me here, hoping to get an idea. I'll PM those who request.

ty901 - thanks for info and the link to the "read me".

Those posters you have pictured are very valuable. Your pictures block the print date etc information that are typically at the bottom of these posters. Condition matters when pricing these so I would be very careful when rolling them and storing them.

Best starting point will be measuring them. They have been reprinted and if they are originals they will be the correct size. They seem to be originals from what I can tell from the pictures.

If you accept payments via PayPal purchase (not F&F) that will give people some comfort.

Good luck with the sale.

When documenting, I photographed all edges and corners to show any damage, and yes, being very careful with them. Agreed, PayPal is my preferred choice; to protect both myself and the buyer. I have been an ebay member since 2003 and paypal member since 2005, if that help put people at ease. I know not all are gems, but some are in great shape and should fetch a good price.

Here is one example listed, many of the others I cannot find any info: https://www.omnibusgallery.com/original+vintage+poster/Germany/Entwurf+Volz/PORSCHE+EUROPA+BERGMEISTER+1963/9076

My photos of this one (measures 46 3/8 x 33):

Not trying to be obtuse here, but it seems curiously odd that a poster printed in 1963 be in Germany instead of Western Germany, which was the regional termed used at the time since Germany didn't reunify until 1990.

I don't remember ever seeing a Factory poster saying "Western Germany." Just Germany.

If you are looking for prices you can look at the vintageautoposters.com site. A little pricey but very high quality.

I just looked at the pricing on vintageautoposters.com and they seem to be all over the place. Prices don't seem consistent with the year, the event, the car shown, etc. I don't see individual poster descriptions/ condition either, which might help to explain some of the variation?

True! I've see quite a variance from one site to another. Hoping I can find an expert willing to put eyes on these. I'm definitely not in any hurry to unload these. Not until I know exactly what I have. Been some good help here! Thanks to all!

I don't have the time to post everything, but if I find something truly remarkable I'll be sure to share it. And if anyone has something specific they're looking for I'll let you know if I have it.
