I have a Exoto Porsche 917/30 1/18 scale diecast model. This model is almost new and one of the most sought after models.

Exoto has this model valued at $3500 and I am asking $1800.

I will consider trades. I am looking for a 944 or 968 3.0 short block, a motronic style engine management system. Or you can just make an offer.

according to the link you posted, the price of a new one from Exoto is $595...

Yes, that is correct but that is for new single cars. Exoto produced the RLG18181 917/30 Porsche with the extra chassis for a limited period of time. 1974 total kits were produced making it one of the most desirable model made. Now today Exoto has estimated the value at $3500.

I feel the asking price is not out of line with the car. If you like, make me a reasonable offer and I will consider it.

Prices on Exoto's web site are sometoimes pretty far out of line with what you can actually buy the cars for elsewhere. Like this on ebay

That is a very good price. The quality of the car and the limited production (1974) makes it worth every penny of the price.

I have this one up for sale and if you wish, make a reasonable offer or trade and I will consider it. Or you could just go to eBay and buy this one because it is a good price.
