g9688 6mt. original purchase price, $12,500.
LSD new gear torsion unit, $2000. Albins 3.00 ring and pinion $3000. cms billet side plate $800. cms shift arrestor $250. cms 8an oil port and temp switch for cooler system $150. patrick cooler system with pump and fan $2000. cms rebuild parts $9182. cms labor 1895. cms had internals REM and cryoed $595. around $32,000. for trans build alone.... so far

Beautiful. I wish there was a way to install the G96 in an air-cooled car without having to cut the tube. Would make the shifting experience so much better on my 1981.

I bought some builder Recaro sport seats from a 1978 930. They are manual sport seats, very rare. Going to recover them in black leather with very Loud/Fun inserts. Pics to come soon. It’s only money lol.

Hello, Thank you for the reply. On the speed run I will have front spoiler and 4 cf dive canards. On the rear a small extra 3” cf nascar style extension at the end of the carrera tail. Under the car, smooth cf panels under the engine and trans like a 964. At the roof line above rear window some small cf air foils to clean up the air a bit. And then we will try it out the “Old way” just by driving it and see if it gets squirrelly or not at speed. So far that’s the plans… likely will be more as we go….

Also the Renegade radiator setup is going in laying forward at the top instead of backwards, so it will vent the hot air out and up and over the cf hood. This will cool and help with downforce.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Can you detail your venting and show what vent scoops you will use on the roof? I have only seen some 930's with a huge opening on the top and not sure I like that. Some of the GT3 vents look great but I have not seen any G body car with those added.
