![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now I'm about half done my manifold, just waiting on wastegates Tuesday or Wednesday next week and I'll be ready to finish the tack up and finish weld it... I think it came out pretty good for my first turbo manifold so far, as long as I don't dick it up finish welding it I'll be happy. Next ill be back to finishing the cage, and putting in real motor mounts.....

![]() I made the front mount it still needs a little edge work and final gusseting but at some point I'll be doing the side mounts, just got axles coming and I also set up a deal to finally buy my front struts and hubs, its definitely taking me a bit longer than I ever imagined but its fun and I learn every day I work on it. |

What front bumper are you using?
On the topic of the front end going tube structure. I say go for it, looks to be more race car than street car so do whatever works best for your application. At this point there is so much cutting and reworking whats a little more, especially for the strength it will add. |

The front bumper I have is a TRE 934.5 air bumper, I'm doing serious bracing in a couple places in the front, but I'm not spending the kind of time involved to completely rebuild an entire front structure out of tube, and plate.... This car is one of those things where I just need it to pass hill climb scca specs, and road inspection here in VT. I plan on driving it a lot, and hill climbing when there is a local one, thanks for the input though.

Update: big changes lots more of the parts needed bought, unused parts sold, and the build is still on! So I sold my renegade tank and radiator, bought a 9x24x3 radiator from a company that builds them for a radiator tuck on a civic and it came plumbed with -16an male ends to match up to my -16 braided line I bought as well as all of my fittings, I got my engine wiring with flying leads and relay box to run the car and run my gauges, I bought early 930 front bilsteins with 3.5" spacing to adapt my big black brembos to, I bought the metal to make my adapters, I also got a set of ROH 17" 7x17 front 9x17 rear with older used r compound tires to burn off, motor mounts are almost finished. I also bought a dual friction clutch, my ring gear, e brake cables, dimple dies and forming hammers to do my cage gussets and such, I got a set of pw46 precision turbo waste gates. Its all starting to make more sense and I have my finalized needs list to make it run, and finish the body. I'm not gonna lie this has been way more of a project than I originally thought it could be, and my build is slightly less than linear but I'm getting everything sorted out as I go... Wish me luck
