I've always wondered why the obvious scam ads use oddball prices like this "$19501". Maybe they are taking a even foreign currency they are comfortable with and using a conversion to dollars.

At least this one doesn't have palm trees in the background. I always love that, car is in Boston, but it's surrounded by palm trees, or an Arizona desert.

One big give-away is that the pictures are often distorted or very low res. It seems there's some kind of software package many of them are using to harvest photos and text and cross-post on a number of sites. I know that craigslist has some algorithms to check for duplicate ads, so the distorted photos may be a way to get around this.
