Need help in assessing realistic values for a 901/05 motor and 73 2.4T MFI parts
Hi Everyone,
I posted this over at the early S registry as well. Not had any any replies yet... In the early 80's, I picked up an early aluminum case 911 long block with a collapsed tensioner (and valve/piston contact) and most of a 73 T motor minus the crankcase and one of the rods - as the missing rod apparently exited through said crankcase . My idea at the time was to build a race/street 2.7 with MFI based upon these parts and the stronger aluminum crankcase. Financial constraints at the time, school, work, and later family/job/etc kept me from realizing this project. Unfortunately somehow now 35 years seem to have passed... ![]() Anyway, as I am likely never going to need any of these parts (and my parents would like the area under the workbench back after all this time), I would like to sell them. And I have very little idea how much they are worth these days. I have seen 901/05 cases alone on ebay for quite a bit over $10k, but I assume the actual price will be a bit lower if and once the parts sell. So my question is: how much would a complete long block be worth (minus one intake valve cover, unfortunately)? And a more or less complete MFI from a 73 T (including heads, cam towers, lines, stacks, pump, pump mount - minus the air cleaner housing)? Can anyone help? Alternatively, does anyone happen to have a nice restorable 66 911 minus the motor for cheap? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Would possibly be interested in the engine (911/05) and could arrange transportation..

I would think you should be able to get $10,000 for all of it as is.
