Porsche Turbo at Mecum Monterrey not selling?

Just saw two 930's not sell at Mecum Monterry? 1979 only went to 45k and 87 Cab only got to 70/75? Market going soft on the Porsche Turbos?

I think Mecum may be a better venue for muscle cars rather than Porsches. It always depends on who’se attracted to the auction (in person or remotely).

Check out BaT, completely different story for low mileage garage queen turbos. Always seem north of $100k

It wasn't just 930's. Seemed the majority of the cars during the first two days at Mecum didn't sell.

Porsche Turbo at Mecum Monterrey not selling?

Ok the white 79 930 at mecum.. Description shows the 930 to have a incorrect 3.0 engine instead of the correct 3.3.

Even if this was a simple mistake on the part of the person writing the auction lot description this is more than enough to scare 95% of the serious bidders away.

Every 76/79 930 for sale in last 18 months has been very rough. Just my opinion.

The high bidder passed on upping his own bid to buy it at 50k, then it sold for more in the bid goes on just a short while later for 61.6k with commish. I wonder if it was the same guy that balked at the 50k on stage that ended up paying more for it a half hour later. Hmm...

I had two high school buddies buy cars on Friday at mecum with both making it on TV. neither graduated high school, but have some how become multi-millionaire contractors. anyway friend one bought the orange Shelby cobra replica at 55k, and the other that took home the 383, orange 70 convertible cuda with the black top, white seats and his mama san wife okaying the final bid.. at 87.5!!

I graduated high school , but can not afford to **** or whined my watch with these clowns...

they are still very good friends to this day so I will likely ride in both cars, and just maybe drive the AC cobra copy......
