So-Cal to Monterey. What's your route?
For those of you driving your Porsche from so-cal to Rennsport, what route are you taking? I'm looking for a route that is probably 50% fun roads, and 50% freeway. But want to hear what others are doing.

Im not going up but when we take our bikes up to Monterey we take hwy 33 (Ojai) up to Taft and then hop on the 58 for about 90 miles. When you come to Hwy 129 ( aka Rossi's Driveway turn right.
(you can only turn right from a westerly direction). Rossi's driveway is at times 1.5 lanes wide and it is two way traffic so you may not want to go completely nuts as there are often plenty of bikes on the road with the same idea you have. That will take you over near Atascadero and you can take the 41 down to Hwy 1. While on Hwy 1 just past Atascadero take Dry Creek Rd which will drop you off on the 46 and then take the 46 back towards Hwy 1, then all the way up to Big Sur and eventually Monterey. Ive never done Hwy 1 in any car as I think it would be just entirely to frustrating but if you plan it at a decent time it may not be to bad. If you have extra time you could also go thru Moorpark / Santa Paula and take the 150 and connect with the 33 as well. Every car guy should buy a Butler Map. They are generally marketed towards Motorcyclists but they are awesome. They show all kinds of little unknown roads that are made for enthusiast riding/driving.
