1989 944 Turbo values...
Well, in my search for a 944 S2 that I planned to make into a dual purpose street/track car, I came across a very nice-looking 1989 944 Turbo. White/black <100k miles, mostly stock, original paint, records, took kit, correct wheels, etc. Seller has had car a little over a year but has done belts, tensioners, water pump. Previous owner had the car for20 years.
While twice my original budget, after looking at some of the BAT auctions results for 1989 cars, it looks like the 1988 Turbo S and 1989 Turbos are bringing good money. which has me thinking of just buying it and hoping that it will retain if not increase a bit in value. Would probably preclude any serious track use but it could still be used on occasion. Anybody have any insight on the 944 Turbo market? Although my first P-car was an '88 951, I have had all 911s since so haven't really followed the market. What seems like the market value for the car I describe above? Thanks.

Interesting opinion. If it were anywhere in that range, it would already be in my garage!

Like BaT is the final authority and reference in stone. I'd say $17K as said, however not in October, which is now, which many waterpumpers seem to change price as seasons do. I would probably be in the $15K range myself.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1989-porsche-944-turbo-7/ Keep in mind BAT is usually top of the market pricing for enthusiast driver cars like these. Last edited by specialtyoneinc; 09-25-2018 at 03:42 PM.. |

Not saying BAT is the final authority, just that there are some reference points there. Not easy to find out what others are paying otherwise.

I own an 89 turbo and have for over 10 years now. It has over 146,000 miles on it and keeps coming back for more. It puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it still. I think you will like the car if you buy it.
