Seat Identification/Evaluation

My 912 came with these strange seats on aftermarket bases. Curious if anybody can identify/put a ballpark price on them? Thanks

Those are the goofiest seats I think I’ve ever seen. Do they actually have two openings in the headrest?!? That’s kinda what it looks like from the side, if so I bet they’re homemade. I.E. not worth much at all. I think amg is pulling your leg.

Hahaha, i'm not offended. This cars full of questionable tastes. The headrests feel steel reinforced so I doubted they were homemade. Very Volvo esque. Just curious as to whatt I should list them as/for.

I agree with home made. Bet someone got creative with an original set of seats. Also going to bet his Porsche seat recovering days ended shortly after he finished this set.

These are screenshots from the original for sale ad. Its quite tacky to anybody who has a clue. People who don't think it looks great. Slowly but steadily it will look like a 912 again.

It looks like a sorry attempt at a Gemballa clone based on the wheels and the front bumper.

Good luck with the project.

Those seats look like a bloated Walmart shopper.

Where is the pic of the bloated balloon appearing Porsche that some artist created? I tried a google search and came up empty handed - but that's where those seats belong!

If only this tribe lived in modern society and used cars, if so there’d be a ton of demand for these seats with their 3’ tall headrest. Since they don’t use cars however, I don’t think there’s anyone else on the planet with necks that fit these headrests.

Coupes not so much either, unless they have a sunroof to stick their head out of while driving.

I would take the covers off them and see if they have the bolster supports for a Sport Seat. If they were original Sport Seats they may be worth recovering. I believe the original foam is still available. Or, the original foam could be under whatever they stuffed in there to puff them up?

Same color too! Though the headrests would stand taller than that reduced windshield.
