here is another 912E on ebay - ?

1) vin listed is wrong
2) minimal amount of pictures
3) not much engine info
4) hood doesnt line up
5) i found the real vin posted on the dealer site > 9126001779 <
6) apparently sold on ebay a few years ago (?) and 0 miles put on since (?)


google search came up with this

this is the thing i like this car ....can someone bring me back to reality ?

The previous add already includes comment that they are not sure about the mileage... in the best case the car got lifted from one location, stored and lifted again, and not used or odo is broken... in the worst case.... somebody played with the mileage. 38K is very very low.. I wonder whom would rebuild an engine, put carbs with this mileage on it... i would guess that it would still be original set up if maintained well with such mileage?

Anyway, I don't want to break down this car as I haven't seen it. Even with the doubts you're correctly having it can still be a great car even if there is no history to proof it's history, as long as the condition of car is good, everything works you can still have fun with it. Just a purist is less likely to be interested in it if there are doubts, no clear history etc.. I would prefer a good one with no history vs a one with history that is in really bad condition

If you just want to buy for yourself, best to check it out, drive it, test it etc.. and then decide

You should ask if this is mileage on a rebuilt engine? When the dealer wrote me it sounded like that rather than original mileage......
