Ya ya ya - I know all about that roided-up 914 thing of yours; it will likely haul much ass, but it's a pity that you seem to be installing wheelbarrow wheels and tires on that poor thing! If the car had hands, it would pimp slap you for doing that!

Looks like an honest listing to me. An early 911/912 has rust, shocking. Listing does mention floorboard needing replacement. The dash is killa. Last edited by pmax; 03-17-2019 at 07:34 PM.. |

PS - didn't those things sport a four cam, four banger, instead of that cheater six yours has midships?!?! Are you putting one of those bisches in, too (staying true to the tribute, and all)?!?!?!?! Last edited by Rawknees'Turbo; 03-17-2019 at 11:06 PM.. |

That looks like a fast 356 to me (maybe even a not-so-slow Speedster)! Seeing a thread about a 912, started by Mr. 70'sBush nonetheless, is like an invitation to go nutz (especially when a ripe and ready, fellow slinger of excrement is posting in it)!

I understand it’s a 50 year old car and it is a no reserve auction. It just looks like a classic used car salesmen lipstick on a pig, fresh paint over a cancer riddled car. So, no, I’m not smelling the fish. I do agree with you about the dash though, killa, dilla

Absolutely, great guy, worked for peace and didn't care what other leaders in the area said- definitely a progressive guy that launched what is now Jordan. Can't wait to read your article.

About the idea that PcarMarket has an uphill climb to compete with BaT...
I think there's enough demand at different price points - and condition levels, etc. - that PCM can take its place as sort of a poor man's BaT, even if their original objective is to compete directly. To my mind, it's not an all or nothing, one declared winner situation like Facebook prevailing over MySpace; I see it being more akin to a local second hand furniture store co-existing in the same area as a high-end antique auction house. Any of these PCM auctions discussed here on Pelican recently would have been absolutely torn to shreds by the BaT gallery, but didn't really take too much abuse there on PCM. Now maybe that'll change for the worse for PCM as they pick up more viewers, but I think there's a chance they might become the go-to place if you're willing to take a chance in exchange for a discount. |

Agree. I said in the other p-car market thread that their only chance at success is if it’s some sort of scam. Looks like I was right about the scam part but whether or not they have any success defrauding people is yet to be seen.

I’ve seen weird stuff when an auction comes to an end (like the car posted in the Deal Tank but then reported as sold during auction). Not sure if it is just bugs in the system or not but it doesn’t help that regardless of the auction being successful or not (did not meet reserve) you get the same message. I have sent them an email on this but haven’t heard back.
