My wife and I have been assisting to determine value and sell my Mother-in-laws 1995 C2 993 manual sunroof in polar silver over black.
63k
One Lajolla CA owner, still original titled and sitting in my mother in laws garage.
Always garaged at home and work.
Factory maintenance booked stamped up to 45k when it started seeing an independent Porsche specialist.

Lifelong Porsche family with both MIL and FIL approaching 80 years old, this car was a Sunday drive up the coast to church car for the past 8 years.
Legit little old lady 911.
They are just going to drive the cayenne and Macan from here on out.

Books, most records past the stamped book, only served at dealer or dieters in SD, OG paint, toolkit, inflator, manuals, OG radio in a box, etc. both keys.

Recently closed auctions on BAT for same color, configuration but worse history and condition cars in the $44,000 range and a few offers from Porsche buyers lead me to believe this is a mid-high $40,000 car.....thoughts?

Seems like original low miles, one owner well cared for history, records, not molested, etc. would yield significant premium over BAT comps, figure 25% to 35% premium? Options list would probably help with valuation.

Rims caps (4) with Porsche crest
17” light alloy wheels
Hi-Fi sound package with 10 speakers
Supple leather front and rear

Stereo head unit upgraded to alpine cd. Orginal in box.
Center caps were replaced due to discoloration, OG in box.

I’ll have a PPI done before listing for sale, along with a detail.
Hood and trunk struts are quitters and I’ll replace before sale.
is BAT a decent venue for sale?
Seems like a decent amount of recent sales there. I don’t do ebay anything....I’m hesitant to list an asking price on a forum as I haven’t been following the Porsche market closely in recent year; hence the post her to ask.
I’ll list in mid-May when I have time to get it sorted out.

Take the car to either Black Forest or Mirage for your presale work. They are both well known and reputable. BAT is probably the best place to get the most for it.

I just sold my 95 Polar Silver 993. $61K. Car had 45,200 miles and was very clean. Car was on east coast until 2015 when I purchased and shipped to San Diego. Very well sorted car with complete suspension refresh and caliper rebuild. Very clean car. I'm in SD. Would like to see the car. PM me please.

It’s amazing to me how many of these cars are owned by little old ladies that recruit sons or relatives to sell them as they have no idea of worth .

I’ve been around a bit and have seen the same story all over the world .

I’m so sad my elderly family haven’t driven nice cars all their lives .

Haha. I agree. I can spot any 911 a mile away on the road. I don’t recall ever seeing a little old lady driving one.

It's not a mystery. Gentleman buys his dream car once the kids have gone through college, drives it for 15-20 years than croaks. Women tend to outlive men, so the widow continues to drive it or just lets it sit in the garage till some other life event prompts her to sell it. I've seen that exact scenario multiple times with people I know.
