Are these "real" speedlines?

So I found a nice set of rims and am trying to figure out what I actually have here. Need some help as these are pretty foreign to me. Thanks

Speedline wheels

Those are Speedline Alessio wheels. They came out after the Speedline 993 RS sets were manufactured and were generic. The tip off is the elongated lug nut holes. This means this center was drilled for many different cars. We of course care about the Porsche models, but Ferrari, BMW, Mercedes and Cadillac bolt patterns were also drilled and these wheels were fitted.

They are not in high demand, so I recommend care be exercised in buying these sets, the restoration of these sets and then the opportunity to actually sell and make money. So with all that being said - if you like the style of the center and the Alessio wheel is something you like then i say they are a high quality Speedline wheel. They are durable, timeless and look right on many different model of cars. Jim

When I sell those sets fully restored and resized - I ask $4100. I have purchased Alessio sets over the years for $500 upto $1500 - big range, but understand if you have to do anything to sell these you will quickly approach the $4000 sell range. These are high quality 3 piece wheels and their claim to fame is the ability to resize, fit many different models and replace parts if damaged or re sizing is needed. There is clear powder coating sprayed over the entire assembled set, so if moisture starts to get under the bolt heads, then metal is being eaten away under and around the bolt head - same for the edge where the tire breaker bar is slid during dismounts. Each wheel must be spun and verified straight/true and round before any work begins, and only after this step should the set be disassembled, marked and individual parts restored (strip powder coating, hand sanding of the imperfections on the inner/outer rims and then the refinishing step. Parts are marked so they can be assembled again as verified straight. Bolts should either be replaced or re plated in a finish you choose. The inner rims are usually quite damaged from all the tire machines holding the inside rim during dismounts and this is a time consuming step to make look new again. These wheels look good on 930 cars, but require substantial investment for new inner and outer rims - most fit the 964 and 993 cars 8 & 10's easily. Jim
