Question on value - Ok'ish 1983 Targa with lots of upgrades

Looking for input on car's value. Chassis is potentially high mileage- ~300k TMU
Interior - a bit rough. Rear seats and side panel leather is dry and hard and sun bleached somewhat. Carpets are old and not great condition. Climate control features not 100%. Heat works but is backdated. Footwell blower inop. Front seats have been replaced with cloth Recaros. Steering wheel is a Momo Prototipo

Exterior - also a bit rough. Few dents, rear decklid gaps not even. Paint is good at 10' away but get close and you see some flaws. Has period correct Gemballa skirts and frt bumper. Targa top will soon receive full stg 4 rebuild.

Motor - lots of work in last few years. Recent rebuild with all bearings replaced, upgraded studs and rod bolts. Reliable, decent power, EFI with ITBs has never failed me since ditching CIS. Does have a couple of leaks at chain box/covers. Has desirable 930/52 case paired with 83 SC heads and all the common upgrades like tensioners and valve covers.
Very responsive - ITBs, EFI, alum pp, alum flywheel, 2.7 crank and rods, BBE heat exchangers, sport and race muffler both available.

bumpsteer kit, 930 tie rods, sticky Conti Sport Contact tires with like 90% left on them.
Basically, its a driver with lots of mods that is a blast to drive but not going to win any shows anytime soon. I feel like the motor and the driving experience are the highlights.

Here is a more comprehensive list of mods:
1983 Porsche 911SC Targa

Carrera tensioners
930 lower valve covers
Fidanza Aluminum flywheel

New oil lines from thermostat to motor and reservoir.

Suspension/Steering/Drivetrain

Cool targa w/good upgrades.

If selling, I would not call it "rough" in every paragraph of my description.

I wouldn’t call it rough at all. Let buyers criticize it. No self deprecation in the ad. Just be open about it.

Right. If actually listing the car, I wouldn't call it out quite the same way. However, I didn't want folks suggesting prices thinking it was in pristine condition so I emphasized that it has some "warts".
If the car was factory without the mods, I think I have an idea of what value would be. However, with the mods, which I think are inline with what a lot of folks would want to make for a reliable fun ride, I'm not really sure what asking price would be. I know you don't usually get back what you put in to a modified car but it sure would be nice to get close!

Love it ! Great looking car with all the right upgrades. Your buyer pool is small, so broaden it. I'd get some really good pics and put it on BAT. Otherwise i think you would get probably 50c on the dollar, especially with the current (stupid/misguided) trend for factory spec being highly desired. Yours is a drivers car for people who know what they should want from a Porsche, and that there is more to life than cleaning the car and driving it 25 miles a year to Cars a Coffee to pop the hood, hand out home made info sheets and bore stupid anyone who shows the slightest interest.

I love the car the way it sits. I expect it will be tough getting your investment back or close. I have a pretty heavily (mechanically) modded 83SC coupe. I bought it originally in 2007 or 8 from a guy who'd spent over $50k sourcing the car and then building it. It has a 3.2 motronic motor he had Chris Powell build with a nice parts list, added a Powell built 915 with LSD, Greg Forhdahl's shop massaged the suspension pretty heavily. The paint has some rough spots, it is gold and brown :-) which has grown on me, the interior is all there but the seats need redoing, headliner is bad and it needs carpet. I gave $22.5k for the car, sold it for about the same in 2012 and then bought it back two years ago for $27k which I thought was under market. If someone appreciates the mechanical setup you have I would guess mid $30k range? That's about what I would expect for mine.

That case helps it.
It’s a good engine setup that’s fresh.
This car on bring a trailer should bring more than 30k if described right with good photos. And a good driving video.

Great looking car.....

I think the car looks sweet but I'm a sucker for a silver targa bar
