Hey All!
I am almost done disassembling my 914 for paint and I am looking for reputable painter/shop in the LA area. If anyone has an experience they want to share it would would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

Painter
My mechanic at a high end Porsche shop had Nathanbs paint his BMW wagon. He did a beautiful job. Nathanbs is on this board. Look for him.

Yeah thanks Matt. OP I’m sorry but I am unfortunately not available to take on any restoration projects. Small to large collision jobs I can handle but my restoration team is essentially indefinitely tied up.

I had Juan Mercade @ Bells & Vaughn do paint on my 85 911. Amazing job. He is a 914 guy for decades and Porsche owner. He is honest and expert so he will treat you right. He is now working in Pasadena, CA on Allen Ave. Right up the street from you in Alhambra.
You can reach him at the shop: 626.793.0696. Tell him Warren sent you. Good luck. P.S. Bells & Vaughn was a huge Porsche paint show in the 80's and 90's doing a lot of the Targa to Cabrio conversions (don't hold that against them now - it was all the rage back then!) |

I can hear it now; customer walks in to Nathan's shop and says, "I want to get my vintage 911 painted blacker than the blackest of black - how much?", and Nathan sez in response, "Magenta is a very wise choice - a deposit of $25K ensures your place in line for a start date around August, 2022"!

You could always put your car on a transport and send it to Freddie Hernandez for a “Freddie “paint job! He is awesome. Best John Szabo

I’m sure Raw would drive it if given the keys.

Wow, I'll assume that nipple and tongue piercings are required in order to drive that Barbie Dream Car! |

TX - the 250 was in the paint shop 18 months first go around and the paint still sucked. Especially for what it cost. It was just redone and that took 9 or so. |
