Insure Value - SC Cabrioletmns
I realized this Spring that my SC Cab was under insured - at least that is what I thought. I went to my insurance company and said I wanted my "stated value" increased from $36k to $45k. Initially I got turned down but took a page from the Panorama classifieds that showed crazy values. There were not any SC Cabriolets but cars from '79 to '88 ranging in asking price from $29 to $75, with teh average being $50k. I realize asking price is not what they sell for, but they changed their decision and increased the stated value. Just an FYI.
PS - I just requested the Excellence Magazine from September 2019 that values the mid year 911's. __________________ Vance '83 SC Cabriolet - The "Matrix" '73 914 - "Spicy Mustard" - SOLD |

Did your insurance agent explain the difference between stated value vs guaranteed value? If he didn't you should do some research. I have been with Leland West for a few years with $54k guaranteed value on my SC Turbo. There have been many insurance threads which try to explain the difference.
