Oh my god that’s Kelly Clarkson. I heard she was a bad driver.

If someone was going to use your plate to get your address and steal your car then they would just get it while the cars being driven. How would you even know?

Rawkness share the joke with us but are you sure it wasn’t an angry boyfriend getting back at you for stealing his girl?

You know how I figure out who a plate belongs to? I PM the person running the ad!

But in the real world, that info is not available in many states, including CA because of a fatal stalking incident.

BigCamelToe, I don't remember the triggering comment, but the thing that really surprised me about the whole deal is that the guy in question was usually game for harmless shiit slinging. He did the same with another member that no longer posts, and even found a pic of him that he posted without consent. Really low brow.

I've seen this posted on the internet repeatedly but never seen anyone explain how (unless there are some unscrupulous law enforcement and DMV officials lurking on car forums).

I imagine more people can be found by failing to scrub EXIF data from car photos than can be found by a license plate.

How about mafia? They are in the car business too in the USA aren't they? Here in Japan I had my plate read because I offended a Yakuza. I passed him in a **** box van on an illegal cross yellow line two way road on the Ashiya river 15 years ago. He was in a brand new blue Masarati but only doing 10 mph. He must have been fiddling with the radio or something. When he saw me he sped up so I just cut him off. Immediately his horn went off steady sound for almost 2 minutes. That lasted til we got to a light, actually intersection of the main police station.

He got out of his car casually and casually walked up to my car looking all through the windows and finally locked onto me from passengers window. I had seen him coming, so I had locked the doors, neutral and side brake, removed my seat belt and with muscles glaring gave him the Clint Eastwood scowl for as long as he was there. He knew I was ready to rumble so he backed off and slowly walked back to his vehicle which had about a half km back up behind and no one honking.

I had to pull over up off the next road because my heart was thumping so hard. Two years later, even though we'd moved two doors down, we got an anonymous call when only my wife was home. The voice said, after confirming my residence -- You'de better be careful, I've killed two people before and I can kill you too! Then he asked my wife what she was wearing. When she told him his voice was being recorded he hung up immediately. I went to the Police station to report it, but they wanted the tape. By the time I got home she had already deleted it. She wanted nothing to do with it.

Just to say, he found me off my plate, and he was in no hurry, nor did he want my car. He only wanted the last word, and he got it. If I ever see him again I will bow and say sorry! That's not why I don't have plates on my Porsches though.

Remove the first two letters from the last word and that gives Bernz a (w)hole other directive!

By the looks of him, that bisch was probably in a fast food joint or an all you can eat, buffet place during Burnz's time of need!
