BHCC offering 356A Carrera coupe

In the "Cars for sale by dealer" section, BHCC is offering a 356A "Carrera" coupe for big money.
In the limited photos, I see a 356A engine (not Carrera), no oil cooler or lines, and no mention of Carrera brakes. It does have Speedster seats(?). Do the seats make it a Carrera?

They've had it for months, the price is down from I think mid 400's. I think they made the classic rookie mistake, thinking a Carrera without the motor is worth anything near what a Carrera with the motor is worth. A motor will run between $150,000-250,000, so even at $325,000 it's a hard sell. Unless someone had a motor already, but it would still be a non-matching car, so it wouldn't bring top money. My guess would be the asking price now is probably what he paid for it.

Because they always have inventory and it's always cheap, probably few repeat customers, except for European dealers, who operate on the same mantra.

Adam, the interesting thing is that Alex Manos, much like Peter Kumar, will have cars there for sale for years! Go figure

To those guys it's about volume, so they buy on thin margins, much thinner than I do, but they also believe in the "no retreat" method, meaning rather than take a hit on a car they will just keep it, forever if necessary. Once thing you can always pick up on with their pricing is if they say the price is FIRM, that means it's very close to what they paid for it.

They have sold nice cars including one used on a wheeler dealer episode. It appears to me they do very little to the cars after they buy them. They have a white 67S currently that I find interesting. I would have a comprehensive PPI on it before I would purchase it.
