Nice or failed attempt at a flip? 92 slate grey targa
This guy nrets617 has been trying to flip this targa he bought just a few months ago for close to $20,000 profit. First of all of course he will never get that greedy asking price for a 90k mile C4 targa but nice attempt. Funny original seller noticed and bumped his thread lol
Here is his ad then the ad he bought it from Vin # is WP0BB2968NS440193 WPOBB2968NS44O193 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/1059970-1992-964-targa-slate-grey.html http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/1034482-1992-964-c4-targa-5-speed.html |
I saw that...funny as h...
|
Is this some attempt to shame him for trying to make $ or the start of another this price makes me laugh thread?
|
Yes, kinda dumb listing on same site he bought it from
But the car was more worth $40-42 to me, I personally will not buy it because of Targa and C4. But it’s good car at 88k miles And to get $50,000 is what I think it’s worth by a dealer because good color, miles, etc |
It would be a great price if the car was well sorted but between the rust, the unexplained repaint and lack of maintenance history it’s a higher priced gamble. No record of having any suspension work done will easily add $3500 to the tab. No record of clutch, fuel lines, oil lines will add another $3k. Being a C4 adds other complexities and maintenance requirements which aren’t mentioned either.
More detail would help... |
Did anyone else notice the mileage? Back in July of 2019 the mileage in the picture shows 89643.
Here we are 10 months later and his add states 88k miles. |
The funny thing is when negotiating with him a few months ago when he offered it to me, he told me it’s a $60,000 car and since I live in San Diego I can easily sell it for that there lol, delusional flipper , needs to work on his sales skills, reminds me of littleoldman and his $63,0000 120K mile C4 with no description or details of engine work but says “it’s easily worth $65,000” And “find one like it” lol
|
So
These flippers are hilarious really
The market now is so F up. Every swing dick thinks it’s still business as usual, but the virus really made a mess of a markets Just to understand economics, it’s a yes supply and demand, but it’s now survival for the fittest, not pissing money away on a vintage car... be patient it’s coming fast.. Hold on, do not fall for the few that sell stupid and apply it to your cars. There is a ass for every seat |
He deleted his ad after being outed lol. Seems like a “failed attempt” at a flip and not disclosing the rust and issues with the car. I’ll post it’s vin # later so when someone searches google they find the proper info, if you’re selling a car be honest for gods sake

Amen Stutt911!
I was the original seller of this car. I disclosed issues and was completely transparent. Buyer told me he was a multiple 964 owner and the car would be well loved. Sold car for mid $30k. It was advertised On PCA classifieds the next day after delivered. Their was other interested parties that contacted PCA complaining that the car suddenly turned into a one owner car and paint issues not disclosed. Car and owner were banned from PCA classified for life. I messaged him and said I thought that was a shi**y thing to do! Was asking mid $60’s. I’m about capitalism, but be honest when describing what your selling. I could have sold it 10 times over to other Pelican Members that want to be an owner. PCA asked me to put up the original ad here to see if it would get a reaction. It happened to appear right above his latest post. I’m not against guys flipping cars, and thought the best thing to do was have monitor remove it. Just be honest with people! This is supposed to be a fun hobby! |
What a scummy seller. Thanks k911rs for outing that pos.
|
It'll be on BAT soon enough and sell for $70K

I love the fact that S-dopes 'how to sell like a professional' has one respondent. Guess who?
That's my new credo. Never to respond to S-dope thread. |

Boomers trying to sound cool by referencing IG. Priceless!
Matt is one of those people who wears a mask in his car, LOL. Have you seen these people? Wearing a mask is dumb enough. Wearing a mask in your car? That's Matt level paranoia. |

the young angle is really played out, don't be afraid of getting old

A buddy of mine in Florida just messaged me. They randomly tested 35 guys at the golf club for antibodies. 17 tested positive. 50%. Even in NYC they only test out at 19%. This comes from a place that never took precautions, never fully closed down and never informed resort guests about positive cases.
Yeah, wearing a mask is dumb? You understand you're wearing the masks to protect the people around you, not yourself, right? It's not a selfish act, it's a selfless act. Course, bots only care about themselves. Clearly that's your modus operandi. |

Talk about going totally off topic posting stupid memes and having childish discussions that have nothing to do with the topic or even porsche , lol. This forum is something else...I have noticed almost every post turns into the same thing with the same 4-5 people posting this type of stuff talking to each other as if they are on yahoo chat in 1998
