ATTENTION-Porsche Community

ATTENTION: Porsche Community

Restoration Design has been serving the Porsche community for over 10 years now. We have met many new faces over the years, helped people across the world bringing their Porsches back to life. It has been a great pleasure to help all who have purchased our parts over these years.
Although, we have had a bad taste in our mouths for the last few months, which is why we want to inform the Porsche community, that in this world full of deceit, we must look out for our fellow Porsche enthusiasts.

Restoration Design entered in to a distributor agreement with Espo Resto- Also known as: John Esposito Porsche Repair in February 2020. This relationship has ended due to the fact that Restoration Design has not been compensated for over $140K worth of product. Espo agreed that they would not be able to pay for these parts, so they decided to ship them back to Restoration Design. As of June 1st, 2020 restoration Design has not received any product back, nor have any funds($) been transferred. John and Laurina (owners) of Espo Resto or John Esposito Porsche Repair, have ceased communication. They are ignoring emails, phone calls, texts, etc.
Since we can not get any communication with Espo, matters have been turned over to our team of lawyers. As some of you are aware, we posted a small statement saying that Restoration Design was no longer dealing with Espo Resto, the response poured in. SURPRISE!!

There are many Porsche restoration shops that have great customer service and top quality work. Do your research, ask the Porsche community, and stay safe!

The RD Team

Wasn't there a huge lawsuit thread a while back about somebody having their car in this shop and not being able to get it back, shoddy/sleazy service etc?

Can they have sold $140k worth of sheet metal in 4 months? I would have someone get over there ASAP to see what of your inventory remains. Recover what you can.

Don’t mind the trolls. They like trial by internet and are always ready for the next lynching . My understanding is Espo won the lawsuit they are talking about and got an NDA out of the customer as part of the settlement.

But that’s neither here nor there if they’ve broken contract with you and refuse to pay. I hope you get every cent you are owed.

M2 M2,

Just in case you missed this part of Resto's post, I'll highlight it for you.

Yes, I saw it. I also saw you kick a man while he's down. You are always so helpful around here.

I met the owner of that thread well after the thread and I can guarantee that he was out and out scammed and ripped off by Espo. Anybody hear about how they fudged the numbers on their employees W2s to increase their own tax liabilities? What about getting all the money on a 356 repair and repaint and not touching it for over 6 months last I checked? The list goes on and on. It’s strange to even appear to defend them?

You sure you want to publicly admit he violated his NDA? That guy had a few screws loose. That was obvious from his thread.

I'm not going to rehash that thread. I didn't defend them as in say they did no wrong. I defended them as if I was a court appointed attorney abd in saying he should prove what he was saying and we should hear Esposito's defense. And you took great issues with that over and over. Just like that time you went after Fred for the C3 longblock. I take the position of innocent until proven guilty. You seem to have a problem with that as an idea.

I know nothing about the rest. If there's a pattern and there's proof why would I defend it? RD has said they've severed relationship with espo and taking legal recourse. I trust they will update us with the outcome.

If you want the short version, witness credibility matters.

I guess our measures of proven guilty are vastly different. He had no screws loose that is your own imagination. What about when I went after Fred? What exactly did I do wrong? For the record I sought opinion on my situation and named no names. Fred announced it was him. Again what is that I did wrong? Somehow you like to victim shame. It’s very odd. I forget what we ever squabble about but as soon as this topic comes up it’s like oh yeah that’s where we are completely opposed. I feel horrible for all those that get ripped and have very little patience. Prove your innocence. You shouldn’t have even let it get that far as a business owner or seller. Sorry we disagree on this but we clearly do

Nathan, I’m not going to engage with you in this. You tried to call me out and I addressed it. The end.

You say I like to victim shame but here I am right here right now giving the victim the benefit of the doubt. I repeat victim credibility AND the reputation of the accused matter. You weren’t a victim with Fred and his reputation was, and continues to be, impeccable. You were a hot head. You lose your temper like few people I’ve ever known. You’ve got a really short fuse brother, and it’s burning again. There’s bigger things in life than trying to be right on the internet. Go dunk it in water before it blows. It’s just not worth it.

Lol Matt you have a surreal reality in your head occasionally. Now is one of those times. For the record I was the victim of Fred’s poor packing and my engine still bares the scars to prove it. They are permanent. I was not made whole but rather whole enough. I don’t know why you keep doing this with the incident with Fred because it forces me to defend myself and only serves as a reminder for the mistakes he made. I think he would prefer they get forgotten but this is at least the second or third time you’ve done this. I believe you are actually the one that has the temper and all that frequent here have seen you lose it on many an occasion. Me? I’m just passionate. Please hold your promise and don’t further engage. Or was it’s just the end of the beginning? Deja vu

This from the guy who threatened me and told me if we were face to face you would make me shut my mouth. And now you'll deny it...
