Formal apology to M2 and the whole board from yours truly

This is for Matt Monson, yet for everyone on this board. I would like to formally apologize to Matt for some things I may have said to him from say April? I believe I offended him and I hurt him by many things I have said, some in humor others not. We used to be friendly, but somehow we got into a spat and I went a little mean. Y’all know that I can be mean, nasty and a cruel SOB, when driven to it, yet that is not who I am. I want to be a man of peace and goodness when on this board. That is really who I am. I will also apologize to Alan A who I was a bit mean to, even if I felt I needed to be at the time.

I didn’t think Matt would forgive me because early on in some thread he said I shouldn’t apologize for anything, that I was a cat that used up my 9 lives so don’t bother. I think he was just hurt then in saying that, yet I thought if there is no forgiveness then there is no reconciliation. Being in conflict is just a simple waste of resources for everyone. That is not where I would like to be. I would still like to be a member of this board, even though I don’t really contribute much. What I get here is help when I need it. I appreciate all the members who help me and I enjoy the time when I’m privileged enough to be here. I don’t have that much experience or knowledge, but what I’m lacking I can always find it here.

Matt is one of those guys who has much to offer. I appreciate him very, very, very much, always have. He is not only sharp and knowledgeable, he is generous and personal. That is one of his best qualities. I hope he will forgive me and count me again as a friend. I want to be the same, give him respect and enjoy his company if possible.

All best to all,

Now the roles have changed. Is Matt going to cut me loose, or cut my throat? Sugarwood cut me loose.

According to the Tobster sage, and I paraphrase, it's essentially and only a consolidation of all the unique characters who abide here. Now, I would say that you are one of the most outstanding. No, let me say it this way, you and M2 are two of the most outstanding, and there are others. Did that come off wrong?

Bernie,

I don't know what you are apologizing for. I think most don't either.
Post what you want to. You can't get wrapped up in who likes you or who's feelings got hurt. None of us really know each other.
I know Ronnie through texts and a couple phone calls. He was great help when working on my AC system.
I hung out with Dwelle and had dinner with him and his family at Rennsport. Someday we'll hang out again.
Outside of that everyone is just a bunch of random user names and opinions on everything under the sun.

Matt has his views and he gets worked up defending them. He will get over it in time.
I have my opinions and issues too. We all do.

You seem to be suffering from being isolated for too long if you really care what random guys on a forum think.

Move on and post or don't. No apology needed.

Yeah, that’s my thinking here. Part of how we ended up here is he decided to publish my PMs instead of talking things through one on one. Can’t put the genie back in the bottle though.

Bernie, I appreciate the thought. It will be nice to no longer be stalked and trolled by you. I hope you do sincerely intend to move on this time. I’m not going to nit pick your post and make it a thing, even though it’s loaded with misconceptions and false assertions about what I may think or feel. It’s not worth the bother.

That said, I don’t really see much changing. I think what I think about your morality and how you carry yourself in public. Not everyone is meant to be friends, and I think this is one of those cases. I wish you the best. I hope getting that off your chest at least makes you feel more comfortable posting. This isn’t my house. I’m not in charge or any sort of special guy around here. Don’t let me being here stop you from being you.

.
I missed that thread.
note to all. No sharing PMs to make a point.
That’s a good way to piss someone off.

You know... A very good pal of mine recently said:

"...Many times I have seen two very rational people be unrational towards each-other..."

Probably the case here. Good to see both rational again.

Last time I talked **** to Monson on this forum and regretted it, I decided to just pick up the phone and call him. It worked out great. Never leave apologies to typed words where you can't translate the tone.

id need at least as many in your pic, possibly more to handle this. this is my second fall here having hit the 1 year marker early in september and it was not nearly this bad last year. between the patio and the turf area that is like 25'x40' i can fill a 5 gallon bucket in less than two days sweeping 2x and vac'in once a day. did some research on mast years and they can be expected every two to five years apparently. the good news is i posted in a local twain harte FB page and everyone around here is experiencing a heavy year. there is some debate on it forecasting a heavy winter.

Thank you Deez. Good advice and wisdom to follow. Thanks to everyone else too for the advice and thoughts. Yeah, not a good thread. I just wanted to make things clear and right with Matt, thought it was a way to do it.

Thanks again for the thoughts and direction.
