They've come a long ways in 20 years. My last new WRX was an'08 and we also had a '16 OB. They are as different from the earlier cars as 996 to 991.

There's a really nice hot rod here on consignment. All the right people have touched it and the owner is a known good guy. $20k will get you a 400whp car...

when looking into a used vehicle the color is generally like item 3-4 in importance to me.

when i bought my 1st SC back in late 2000 i found it in the san jose mercury classifieds (yep, news papers used to have classifieds:D) i was so surprised to find it after looking all over in autotrader and the like for what sounded like the perfect car after speaking with the seller. went to go see it and he took me into the garage and it was guards red!!!! i din't even ask the color in the initial conversation..

was not in love with that color, but the car's condition and mileage "checked all the boxes". the seller even had a PPI in hand that was paid for by a previous perspective buyer from out of the area done by CT automotive (formerly carrera tech). i was able to go over to CT and talk to the shop owner and he walked me through the few issues and that confirmed it was the car for me, color be dammed.

the red was appreciated more once i started to build it into the spec racer it became... the tribute to the 1971 #23 917 seemed like a no brainer once PRC afforded me the car number.

I'm going to look at a 2010 Forester XT tomorrow. It's been ten years since my last turbo Subaru.

you can tell he wants to be accepted here into the "little group" as he put it in the worst way. he just is not sure how to best go about it. he's taking a different approach than seanie-max, but is finding no greater success. he thought a second account was his way in, but that all blew up in in face when his sentence composition and mis-spellings was outed. now he's just lashing out for attention sake.

the other thing is he talks about wasted man hours, look at his recent post frequency! that's no busy man typing that junk.
