was the tub cut for the glass fenders or are the original fender still intact?

there's an ass for every seat, and that's a great looking car so maybe somebody on BAT will find it irresistible. others here smarter and more well studied than me, but $65-70k?

PM techweenie and link him to this thread. he sees a a ton of different cars where he is in so cal and he is always watching the market and might have a good idea as to what a modded car like this could bring. shoot, a 3.6 in it makes it a $120k hotrod that the guys on BAT would go freakin nutz over.

juanbenae,

Thank you for the feedback. Much appreciated.

The original fenders are on there but they were cut for the flares. The bumpers are original too but were also flared out to meet the new fender dimensions.

Body work was done by previous owner. I did the rebuild has about 500 miles on it. As I mentioned, I bought the car a little over 2 years ago. It took me over a year to get it to this point. I started driving it late last summer and now a few times this year. The chassis has 98,000 miles on it.

What is the original color? Has the car ever been in an accident and/or had damage repair?

Well not sure why that matters to value but it's 629xxxx type 901/09. Original to motor was MFI but the original Weber's from the car are on it.

BTW, I do have the Kardex so I know the original engine number and know the trans is original. I also have all the keys and tool kit for the car minus screwdrivers.

It looks like you may have bought it at at $30K?. In three years how about another 35 to 40Kin parts?. You had a great time building the car . How about a thousand for every year reserve on BAT. $68K
If I had $68K I would buy a 2012 Cayman R and take the summer off. Oh and I would sell the other 911 and use that money to move to a red state.

Maybe it doesn’t matter, but maybe he owns a 69E missing it’s engine? There’s never any harm in being nice.

Does he?

Well Matt, I think I am being nice. I answered the question. Would you like to answer my original question regarding your thoughts on value? That would be nice...

I know I can just list it on BAT and see what happens if I choose to sell but I was hoping for some input from people who watch the market and have more insight. I'm not a flipper and that was not my intention for this car as I already explained. Not sure why I am getting combative posts...

Defensive sellers struggle on BaT. If you consider probing questions seeking to learn about the car combative they will eat you for lunch. The best prices on BaT go to the sellers who actively participate in their auctions. I’m just saying.

I know that Matt but this isn't BaT. If you guys are asking me questions to truly help me out then I apologize. But that's not the impression you are giving me.

You didn’t answer my first question accurately. I had to go back to your buy thread to get the answer. The old owner HAD the flares and paint done in 1976. You did not do the work. Without good pictures of the paint and flares I’d give you a range of $45-60k.

I’d rather ask a bunch of questions and get more details before naming a number, just like I rarely bid the first 4-5 days of an auction until I’m sure of myself. This car is a pig and a poke. And home rebuilt engines are always a tough sell.

I misunderstood your question. I thought you meant the work I mentioned. The engine rebuild, brake system, fuel system, etc...

I did not do anything to the body but clean it up and replaced the updated rear bumper and decklid. I did mention it is a driver, so there is paint chips an some light scratches here and there.

I also understand your comment about the home rebuild but I have to say, I have paid many people to do things for me and at the end of the day they are not as meticulous as I am with my stuff. I consulted with people who know more than I along the way and am happy with the results.

Also have many pictures of the rebuild process I could share.

Thank you for your feedback.
