I was asked the value of a pair of 15 x 9" EARLY Fuchs in ok shape.
I guess I have to revise my $2800 estimate!

Yeah. I’ve never driven them on a Porsche, but had a set on an old Subaru track rat when they were new. They’re nice.

I like the Direzza ZIII as well, and frankly am not sure if I can really tell a difference (yet). Regardless, that's a decent price for a set of fuchs + tires, assuming the fuchs don't have any issues. After having an older fuch crack, likely from a hard life on the track, I rather buy new from Otto Fuchs. |

Al Reed isn’t as famous as Harvey, but he was a cornerstone of PCA club racing and restoration here in Denver for about 40 years. If Al restored then, they don’t have any cracks.

Baffled by another Fuchs auction with a set of 16x7 fuchs sitting over 8k. Not an 8" or 9" in the lot...

Looks like it was an erroneous bid. Not sure a set of polished Fuchs would go that high…

Now a mixed set of 7s and 9s sold for $9000.
We must remember these wheels are refinished no nicks or scratches. Cost is about $2000 for resto these days from my research. Seems like a set of 7s and 8s x 16 that need restoration sell on the forums for 4000 or so. 9s are going for more. Pair of 8s seems to pop up here and there from 2300 on low and are snapped up fast. To a normal ask price of 3000 for a pair again will need resto. 8100 was high for 7s and 8s but now we saw 9000 for 7s and 9s. Sign of the times just like the price of most Porsches. Long gone are the days of a cheap 911 coupe. @RarlyL8 |

I have a set of 7&9x16 Fuchs brand new in the box that were just accepted for listing by BaT. Have not had a good experience with them in the past, will see how this goes.
The story behind these wheels is a customer purchased them from Einmalig Porsche in 2010 for his Euro 930 resto-mod. They were reportedly the last set of OE replacement wheels sold by them having the correct part numbers. Unfortunately it was found that the wheels would not fit properly over the big red brakes installed on the car. The wheels were packed back up in the original boxes and put in storage. Fast forward 10 years and the car is getting a lot closer to completion. The wheels were offered to me as partial trade for services performed during the modification phase of the build. I thought about keeping them for my 930 but the funds could be put to much better use elsewhere. Pricing seems to be all over the place for these wheels depending on who shows up for the auction. Parts are no-reserve which is a bit nerve wracking but the sales history on these sizes is pretty solid. The new owner will not be disappointed. ![]()

BaT takes a fee or 5% up to no more then $5,000. from the winner. Seller pays $99. to list part and most are No Reserve. So even if someone wins a $1,000,000 car max $5000 winner fee. Much better deal then a Big Auction house that often take 5% to 10% on the 1 million. So for someone selling a Carrera GT it is a No brainer to pay $99. vs 10% on both sides winner and seller.
