‘70s turbo

I’ve been hearing that the late 70s turbos are a great investment right now as they may have hit their floor. Any truth to this, and what would one pay for an average car these days?

I don’t know. But I would put the exact same thread in the 930 forum. There are a number of guys who post there and don’t read here. Two different user groups and echo chambers.

Very few if any cars are good investments. If looking for one to drive and enjoy the prices have softened a bit compared to the 911's of similar vintage. Stupid asking prices are everywhere, asking and selling are two different things. A solid driver (level 3?) would probably sell in the $70's. Never buy a cheap Porsche, there is no such thing. Personally I like the '78/9 USA and '80-'85 Euro better than the '86-'88 USA.

No. An investment grade car won't be found in the classifieds or BAT. An investment grade car won't have "average" in the description.
The true investment grade cars are sold off market and high end auction houses. They are rare in mileage, options and colors. They are 100% original including paint or concours restored by the best of the best.
They never sell cheap. The owners don't need to sell.

Regular Joes like us don't get those cars. The cars that trade at our level have hidden stories and issues. They are drivers.

I thought we were talking about 70’s 930’s.
Do you really want to be the guy that searched the internet for a contradiction just to make a pointless point?
