914 Roller - GT flares and more

This looks like a crazy amount to ask. I wonder if I could build it for this price. Not sure though, I know how parts add up fast. I do my own work. Or, I am just out of the loop when it comes to pricing?

914 prices in general have gone up a lot. This car likely still has some very nice parts in it, suspension, brakes, oil cooler setup, etc. that add up quickly. My guess is they would entertain offers on it as it's been sitting for a while now.

Link doesn’t work. Is it Charles Freeborn’s car?

Not Freeborns car.

I think it is being sold by Jeff at Rothsport.

I know that stuff adds up, just not sure it is close to that asking price?

Freeborn car is $9500.

Looks like a really good starting point for a high HP motor.

Truthfully, a 3.0 makes sense to me. I agree about the appeal of the 3.6 or 3.8. I just think less is more.

$12 to $15K depending on what you want to do with it. If steel flares, then it would have been about $3K more.

Hmmm. That is more like it. I’m ok with fibreglass.
