Realistic Value, set of 7&9x16 Fuchs, NOS
Remember the thread a few weeks back about the set of 7&8x16 Fuchs that went for $8k on BaT? I said if those were that desirable they would lose their damn minds on one of the sets I have? Well this is it. I'd like some realistic feedback on the value of these wheels. They are not refurbished used wheels. What I have is a set of NOS 930 Fuch wheels, 7&9x16, purchased years ago from Porsche, never mounted, still in the original boxes. They are blemish free in every way, perfect. I don't see myself ever owning a 930 of the caliber worthy of mounting these wheels so they need to find that car's owner.

I've got another (used) set on an SC right now, the 7&9s will fit any G-body but were specifically designed for the 930 and M491 Carrera 1986-1989. Fairly short production run for this size. I believe you can still purchase these wheels new from Porsche or Fuch but don't know that for certain or what that price might be. Anybody know that info? If they are still produced then the only value these might add is the date codes.
Here is a representative wheel. Anyone know what the red dot is for? ![]() ![]()

Date codes matter. There’s some guy currently trying to sell some P&Cs as NOS, with a 2014 date code, on a kit that’s still made. I just scroll on by…
You will want to include the dates when you list them. All it takes is 1 guy who “needs” them. |

^^^ agree^^^, for the person who needs specific dates they are priceless. I don't think 12k- perhaps 15K is out of the question. Its crazy right now when guys are trying to sell one wheel with 73 date code that needs work for almost 5K

If these aren't dated in the late 80s and the correct year for the turbo who needs- what's makes them different than the current offerings at a dealer? I think you can get a new set from a dealer for 4500$.

Yes, read post #5. I don't know what new ones go for or even if they are still being produced. That is one of the questions.

the red dot signifies the low point on the wheel. align it with the red dot on the tire (high point, in this case) to minimize any out-of-round dynamics.
the red dot on the wheel stud - aligned with the valve stem completes the process. Last edited by creaturecat; 12-10-2021 at 01:32 PM.. |

Got a data point for anyone interested.
Called Porsche and found out that the 7x16 are still available in the US new from Germany. Cost $1308.93 each. The 9x16 are not available in the US and are on permanent back order from Germany, whatever that means. Cost for those if you could get them is $1388.42 each. So it looks like minimum value for the set is about $5400.

If you don’t order from Porsche and go with the Fuchs forge itself, it’s about $3,800. You’ve got date codes/originality on your side though. https://www.fuchsfelgeusa.com/product/16-inch-fuchs-wheels/

Those Fuchsfelge wheels don't seem to be recognized by Porsche USA or dealerships. The part numbers are different. Guess that differentiates them from the original runs.
