Shipping Car Recommendations
Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but looking for recommendation to ship a car from Texas to Ca. I've done a ton of searches online, got quotes, selected a company that turns out to be a broker and has to wait for bids on my order. That was last week and haven't received a confirmation. Anyone have any experience with a direct company? Thanks.

Intercity shipped the car I sold last year to New York and they had a very nice rig and were very professional during the collection process. The car arrived with the new owner in about a week and as I recall it was around $1500.

Looks like a lot has had good experience with Intercity. Some also recommended Nexus from a different site I posted this question.

Another got for Intercity, they’re usually my first stop. If I can’t get the schedules to jive I also trust Horseless Carriage and Pilot Transport.

I just uses EasyAutoShip (EAS) and had a great experience. Fast and easy and I got text updates every day from the time the driver is scheduled to the time the car was delivered.

If it's a car you care about use one of the big guys like Intercity or Reliable. Yes it will cost double what the brokers will quote you or you can get on U-ship, but if the car arrives damaged, who cares how cheap the freight was. I've seen shippers do all kinds of awful stuff to cars and there is no insurance, most are fly by night operations.

I sold my Pontiac G8 GXP Manual last Spring to a guy in FL. He used some low-rent shipper who was a PITA on my end. He had a double decker 6 car trailer and managed to smash the roof and windshield of the G8 with the upper deck of his trailer. People just don't give a sheit.
I've used Reliable 3 times and they were great. I saved some money dropping off and picking up at their terminals.

I've only had to ship a car once and I used Reliable. I'd use them again.
As mentioned above, if the car arrives damaged then any money you may have saved with the economy shipper is meaningless.

If you’re still looking i know 2 guys who run mostly exotics and high value dealer cars between the southwest states. In a 1 or 2 car trailer. Pm me and i can give you their info. Used both many times with 100% professional service. Not cheapest, but excellent.

On his car he shipped a year and a half ago? You just bumped this thread to drop your affiliate link.
