Engine and 2 transmissions value please
Hello All,
I've been out of the Porsche game for a few years and trying to clear out a few more items. I have a engine and transmission I pulled from a good running 71 911 about 7 years ago and put it in storage. Engine and oil tank only. No carbs, etc. Engine is free and "ran when pulled". From my research (and that may be suspect) I get that it is a 1969 911 2.0 engine with magnesium cases? Engine # is 6196398 The trans attached to it is #7116398. That looks to be a 91101 5 speed from a 71 911. I also have a separate 5 speed trans # 715308. I want to sell these off locally and would love to get some wisdom as to the fair value of these. I'm thankful for any and all feedback. |

I'd say you're looking at about $$4-5K give or take on the motor depending on overall condition. Even with the carbs which I believe would have been zeniths, a 69T motor is not the most desirable engine out there... But these things aren't growing on trees so getting harder and harder to find.
Gearboxes probably $1500-$2K without looking up the numbers but based on numbers maybe the extra gearbox is original to the motor? Condition makes a difference though... pictures would help. Good luck J
