Go to Bring a Trailer, look up 911 in a similar hot rod build

I ve been following BAT and even looked at PCARs auction site. Numbers all over the map. In canada, a search on usual sites shows no vintage (77s) 911's to compare to. Its got an 83 sc engine (refreshed top end 3K miles ago), new clutch, new modern wiring, redone carpeting/ new Shifter, and tons of other improvements
even looking on this forum for 911's I see crazy numbers for fairly tatty cars. I guess the only way to evaluate is to post and see what the market (buyers) respond with |

Honestly, and maybe sadly, this is probably the best approach. The market value is what someone is willing to pay for it and BaT is likely the best barometer, especially for non-numbers matching. You don’t want to undersell your car and you don’t want to undervalue it if you were forced to replace it.

Depends on several factors.
Health of the engine, condition of the body. I have a 77 with an 82 so close to yours. Mine had a glass out resto before I purchased it. I put in the used 82 engine with an 82 trans and added classic retro A/C. I value it at 50 - 60k.

Similar story, original restoration was to bare metal. I have an extensive list of work done on the car (myself/Porsche Racing shop) and easily tally up up to 75K Cdn (close to your 60K US) I may try advertising in Canada to get some feedback and if get the right number, start a new project! |
