I don't believe this is legit for a minute. You can buy those wheels used and have them professionally refurbished for a fraction of that price. They aren't rare by any stretch.

So a seller who sells nothing but wheels, and has a ton of previous sales, is really just a scam artist? That’s laughable.

Hard to find? 7&8x16 were options or standard on all SC/Carrera/930 for about 10 years. I've got a few sets, any takers at $8k? I didn't think so.

While not rare, they were restored. Do you realize that the vast majority of BaT users don’t even know this place exists? It’s stupid money, but some of those monied BaT guys are stupid rich.

are yours for sale? they are not hard to find because they were not plentiful, they are hard to find because they are desirable. Most are under cars and the owners are not giving them up.

For $8k he!! yes they're for sale! I'll put the car on jack stands for that price!
My old junky SC has a set of 930 7&9x16's on it, if 8's are so desirable they'd lose their damn mind over 9's. Joking aside I do understand the desirable thing and also the hoarder mentality created by goof moves like that. Who bids a price an order of magnitude above the previous bid in the middle of an auction? Nobody, that's why I called BS. I don't trust BaT. Place is a cesspool of car salesmen and flippers working together to pick the pockets of the ignorant.

I wonder if the 15's are in demand too? I've got a set in 7 & 8 for my project car.
Either way I'll have a staggered set in 15's or 16's to sell.

If you are a used wheel dealer is not bad price for really good advertisement.

I'm tired of hearing market value. Price point. BAT comps.

So now you tell your customers a set fuchs will cost you 8k, rare, unobtainable, one of kind, they don't make them anymore.

all for 400 dollars 5%.... Doesn't take much to have a friend bid on your stuff.

Suckers are going to suck..... Always.

You can buy brand new Fuchs, made in Germany by Otto Fuchs, for less than $1000 per wheel.

https://www.fuchsfelgeusa.com/

At least with the Webers, you cannot buy brand new ones. You can buy PMOs, but originality may matter to buyers. You can buy nicely restored Webers from a few different well know people though.

^^^

It’s interesting reading the comments. IMO none of them are wrong. I totally agree agree with Brian. Over $8000 for a set of run of the mill Fuchs is insane.
I’d call it downright stupid. Especially given the fact that you can get them here most weeks out of each month for 75-80% less. Matt’s right too though. So many people have so much money these days. Most of those guys don’t have their thumb on the pulse and have never heard of this site. There just caught up in the Pcar hype. And they have money to burn. Judging from the BAT sales at least.
Hopefully I’ll never have to sell my 930 but, if I do, I’ll know where to list it.

How does shipping work for BAT parts? Buyer's responsibility, or does BAT pick up the parts and handle prep and shipping?

They are just a brokerage. Seller ships.

Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping on BAT.

That’s cars. These are parts. Seller usually handles shipping, just like any other parts sale.
