You might be able to find a first gen Cayenne for that money, or a 986 boxster. The cheapest 911, something like a 100k miles tippy C4 Cab without IMS done and rough interior, would be another 5 or 6 k on top.

Vintage, that will buy you a decent 944. More modern that’s 986 money. You might find a 987 or 996, but it will have needs. You really need closer to $20k to get into a water cooled car.

I have a running but needy 83 944 in white over black. It is actually a very early 83 with a lot of 924 bits and early manual rack. A very rare example of a 944. New bearings, TB, water pump, dampener, fuel pump, ECU etc. All original paint but needs some aggressive detailing. Interior needs work but under your budget. Everything works but still a budget project for the right person.

I miss the old days where scammers would brute force their way into existing accounts then pretend to sell cars previously listed on eBay or Craigslist.
