unstamped 901/05 engine complete, fresh running
This is an early sand cast type 901/05 engine,
complete and running with 2.2 L B&P and MFI injection, but there no engine number stamped on it?? any ideas of value? Thnx http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663858962.jpg |
Number would not be stamped on that surface. Alu cases are stamped on the pulley side of that casting.

Vasek had a bunch of those cases back in the day. They were used in both race engines and to replace cases on street cars. I would value it around the same as any other 2.2 with maybe a $500-1000 bump because it’s aluminum.

So a complete and running 911 engine is worth $ 550- to $ 1000-? I think you are still back in the day.... |

he means 550-1000 dollars more than a similar engine cast out of iron..

If it is a 2.2, would this be for 1970 & 1971?

So still no real idea of value from the Beaks?
Saying it's worth more than X doesn't really give a value, does it? I did receive a couple of constructive PMs and emails. The rebuilt MFI pump, new headers and new exhaust cost me over $ 5k, plus mag stacks, on a running 2.2 liter 911 engine would seem to price this in the $ 18k to $ 20K range. Thank you. |
I wonder if it has to do with your sunny disposition?
