Number would not be stamped on that surface. Alu cases are stamped on the pulley side of that casting.

Vasek had a bunch of those cases back in the day. They were used in both race engines and to replace cases on street cars. I would value it around the same as any other 2.2 with maybe a $500-1000 bump because it’s aluminum.

So a complete and running 911 engine is worth $ 550- to $ 1000-?
I think you are still back in the day....

he means 550-1000 dollars more than a similar engine cast out of iron..

76dno 11-06-2022 05:01 AM

If it is a 2.2, would this be for 1970 & 1971?

So still no real idea of value from the Beaks?

Saying it's worth more than X doesn't really give a value, does it?
I did receive a couple of constructive PMs and emails.
The rebuilt MFI pump, new headers and new exhaust cost me over $ 5k,
plus mag stacks, on a running 2.2 liter 911 engine would seem to price this
in the $ 18k to $ 20K range.
Thank you.

I wonder if it has to do with your sunny disposition?

That info in your first post would have been useful in determining value. You still don’t even say if it’s S or E spec, has leakdown bern done etc? Pictures go a long way too. Helping us help you goes a long way…
