By 911, do you mean a mag case box? Those are small enough and light enough that you can use UPS parcel service as long as the cooler isn’t oversized. If it’s got to go LTL you start getting hit with liftgate fees and other ad ons that quickly jack it up.
Some people swear by Greyhound but you have to do to their stations/depot to coordinate it.

I’ve shipped a trans in a cooler with UPS ground. It was just under the oversized limit.

Sounds about right. Freight rates went bonkers when fuel spiked.

Fred - I’ve been very happy with Freightquote.com for engines and transmissions. Call me if I can help.

Boxed a 914/901 trans in a wood crate and used FedEx Ground.

fedex? amazon dropped them from their prime delivery services cause they sux.... I've heard on the news and read FE is raising rates with fuel surcharges and such to stay afloat. if they could actually deliver I would not have a hard on for FE,,, Pay more and hire brown to see what they can do for you,,,

Try Shipnerd.com
It is an intermediary with a super aggressive discount from UPS, so they are at least 30% less than UPS retail, but the shipping is done by UPS. Just shipping a 915 in a 100-quart cooler from CA to OH and it is under $200. Just have to watch out for "adjustments" after the fact.
